What would it sound like if legendary funk drummer, Clyde Stubblefield (James Brown) joined a legendary fusion band like Weather Report, and they only performed in dance clubs where the tempo was regulated to 128 bpm? Well, we're not sure if such a bizarre/awesome union like this would ever occur, but if it did, the drums would probably sound a lot like our latest multitrack release, "Funk Meets Fusion". Recorded on a bebop drum kit (tuned up nice and high), this session combines some of Clyde's signature (and ultra-funky) snare syncopation with some of the more polyrhythmic and percussive elements associated with fusion music, resulting in a super tasty cocktail of backbeats and fills. Mix that up with the flexibility of multitracks and a tempo that everyone can dance to, and you've got yourself a recipe for groove that everyone from jazz purists to House DJs will find delectable.
